Environmentally-Friendly, Allergen-free Spray Foam Insulation
Northend Barriers
offers aggressive solutions for new and renovated structures with sustainable, ecological Spray Foam Insulation.

THE ADVANTAGES OF SPRAY FOAM INSULATION:
Reduced utility bills with savings of 30-50%.
Increased air quality due to lack of air infiltration, reduced allergens and pollens entering the building.
Comfort throughout the building with no hot and cold spots.
Qualifies for LEED Certification credits as a green building product.

Types of Spray Foam Insulation
OPEN CELL SPRAY FOAM
Open Cell spray-in-place insulation is an innovative, ultra lightweight two-part polyurethane. It is an open celled, semi-rigid foam that in one step provides a sealed thermal envelope that simplifies construction practices. Open cell foams are less expensive and create an air barrier and insulator.

CLOSED CELL SPRAY FOAM
Closed-cell foams, have low vapor permeance due to their cell structure. Closed-cell foams also have a high compressive strength which allows them to be used for exterior applications. They have an increased R value per inch compared to open cell foams and add structural support.

Spray Foam Installation
Northend Barriers certified technicians specialize in the installation of polyurethane Spray Foam Insulation. The product can be applied to both interior and exterior surfaces, independent of environmental conditions–it can be installed in hot or humid conditions. Once Spray Foam Insulation has been sprayed, curing takes only a few seconds.

Air Barriers
Northend Barriers specializes in commercial green building services within the tri-state areas of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware offering complete solutions featuring air barrier systems and accessories for commercial applications.

Types of Air Barriers
VAPOR PERMEABLE AIR BARRIERS
Vapor permeable air barrier membranes resist air leakage and rain penetration through the building envelope. However, since they are vapor permeable, they allow the diffusion of moisture, in the form of vapor letting the walls of a building “breathe.”

NON-PERMEABLE AIR BARRIERS
Non-permeable air barrier membranes resist air leakage, rain penetration, and vapor diffusion and act as an air barrier, a vapor barrier, and a rain barrier.

Air Barriers
Vapor Intrusion occurs when contaminated vapors found below a building migrate into a structure. Contaminated vapors can be generated from activities that took place on or in close proximity to a specific building.

The key to successfully preventing vapor intrusion into structures is to successfully block contaminated vapors from finding a pathway into a structure. A vapor intrusion barrier can be installed to seal off any exposure pathways and a vapor collection system can be used to alleviate the buildup of contaminated vapors underneath the building.

Waterproofing
Complete Waterproofing From a Single Source
Northend Barriers understands the need to adequately control groundwater, rainwater and surface water to prevent damage from leaks and to avoid unnecessary repairs to the building envelope.

Waterproofing systems are a combination of
high-performance rubberized membranes, fluid applied systems and three part systems to ensure a complete moisture barrier for foundation walls, underslabs, decks, terraces and more.
